I reckon to myself, it is indeed pretty (prettier) during spring! Spent a few days now being sick, and I hope to get well very soon! Ugh, my used-to-tropical-weather-body had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to the season’s transition. Excuse me for the longest hiatus for my blog posting. We have been away filming in Paris few days ago, and I got sick after that. Paris was still 10 degree difference from here, so the changes in temperature didn’t really help. On the other hand, spring in here is still not in full bloom, though the sun starts to shine, and I took advantage of this for me to get back to running. This was taken few days ago when Lénaïc and I had some spare time to visit around Avignon while we check out several flats. Read More »Yesterday, we have been visited by a kind of strong mistral. The day was so deceiving as you watch outside the window, but once you step out, it feels like you are trotting the snowy alps. But despite that, Lénaïc and I still decided to go outside and tried to chase the sun. My birthday’s fast approaching, and the usual listing of wishes kinda got me bored, I think what I have right now is more on a list of I wanted to do and accomplish. First is to stay healthy and healthier, fit and fitter–Lénaïc (as my coach) and I runs together thrice in a week, eating less junks, creating more leisures, and getting a good amount of sleep. I have been eyeing beetlejuice stripes and greens (specifically dartmouth green, hunter green, cal poly green, and phthalo green) in this first week of 2013. I can’t explain how much I love all these picks from Zara and Bershka. I was not into these greens a lot before for the reason that it doesn’t flatter my skin color or maybe I am picky, most especially when it comes to its fabric. We are pretty much excited to begin our flat hunting in the next few months, and finally have decided to stay in Provence than in the North of France. So I have been feeding myself these rainy days some inspirations on how our little new home would look like. I would like to have a white-painted flat with wooden floors, three/two bedrooms (master bedroom, guest room, & office). I would like the kitchen and dining to be really nice and convenient, since we both love to cook and eat. We spent 26 glorious hours waiting at the airport and flying, and finally, it’s so good to be back in the Philippines! How I’ve missed its tropical weather and all the native delicacies! We still have the flight aftermath–jetlag so to speak, but am very happy that love and I can finally celebrate Christmas together here in Philippines together with my family before we move and stay for good in Europe early next year. So yup, this is our last day here in France for this year. It was a bit of a rush shopping local stuff to bring home for families and friends. Last dinner with the family and had our earliest Christmas dinner ever. I am quite sentimental leaving, at the same time excited to be back in the tropics. Winter has not officially started, but the weather is quite frankly making you feel it. I am loving this cold-and-cosy-hot-choco-and-blanket-and-movie-days, but sometimes I admit I miss frolicking in the sun. We went for a quick stop in Paris, after a few days visit to Lénaïc’s family in Picardie, and too bad we are quite short of time to roam around the beautiful city. (Though there are some things I don’t like being in Paris–traffic is hell, parking is awful, driving is awful–better to take bicycles, and hobos living in tents in the outskirts) But I have nothing to complain, we get to check out Le Louvre Museum, which is amazingly impressive (which you need to see for yourself whether your a local or a tourist), and the Eiffel Tower, which lights the city at night

It has been a month since our wedding. And I’m still so happy everytime I remember all the moments-from the planning to the preparation, up to the wedding day itself. It was a success and I am proud that me and Lénaïc crafted most of our wedding stuff with the help from a bunch of our wonderful families, who made the tables, hand-painted the chairs, cooked a sumptuous meal for the cocktail and dinner, hand-picked and arranged the flowers, did origami, et cetera, et cetera.
